Nundle Hall Summer Concert Series
Happy New Year to all, and my gift to you is some great music at the delightful town of Nundle, just out of Tamworth. Running concurrently with the Tamworth Country Music Festival is the Nundle Rocks festival, featuring A Day on the Bluegrass on Thursday 22nd January, plus a number of great concerts in the historic Nundle Hall, which incidentally features a fantastic timber dance floor and great acoustics! I’m very happy to be performing there with The Junes plus Jackie Marshall on Thursday 22nd from 8pm, following the Bluegrass Pickers Competition which I will host with my Bluegrass Playboys Nigel Lever, Pete Fidler, Dougie Bull and Matilda Sommers. There have been a few things missing from Tamworth of late, so I decided to invite them to Nundle! Yes, Rob Luckey is making the trek from Tasmania and picking up the Lucky Bastards on the way to perform at the Nundle Hall on Wednesday 21st. And from the other side of the continent, Brian Kneip has gathered his Barramundi Brothers and their home made instruments to perform two nights at the Hall. Australian treasure Mic Conway will pull out his tap shoes and magic tricks for a concert at the Hall on Tuesday 20th, accompanied by Newcastle’s favourite picker Robbie Long. All the hall tickets are $20 and can be purchase online or at the door, more details on my gig calendar. Of course you can see Gleny Rae Virus and her Bluegrass Playboys at the Peel Inn Nundle, and also as part of the Day on the Bluegrass.
