Coaltown Strutters Ball returns to Newcastle!
After the success of the inaugural Coaltown Strutters Ball at the Carrington Bowling Club, we couldn’t resist the chance to do it all over again on Sunday 25th January 2015. Australia Day falls on the Monday, so we all get a full day to recover from the music, dancing and general frivolity! The 2015 line up is an absolute corker, with honkytonk kin Rob Luckey and his Lucky Bastards closing the event with a set of originals and classic country honkytonkin’ blues songs! I will be performing with my wonderful Melbourne mates Sarah Carroll, Suzannah Espie and Chris Tabone in The Junes, cranking out all our Golden Greats and hits from Country Con Queso! Tickets are available now for just $30, $25 if you are a concession card holder or a member of the Carrington Bowling Club. The kitchen will be open, kids under 16 are free, bowling fun on the green and cheap drinks, coffee and cakes available all day! The music kicks off at 2pm with a wonderful talented collective from the Hunter School of Performing Arts featuring Billie Bull, Leo Larrot, Aretha Williams and James Edge. Also we are very lucky to have the talented dance instructor Emma Bee at the Ball, and she will be on hand instructing, encouraging and dancing!
Tickets can be purchased here get in early as there are limited tickets and only 50 will be on sale on the day.
